About Brenda Korbecki
Before becoming a Birth Professional , my experience was in the business world working as a secretary in various places. Having that background has made me an organized person and business minded. A few years ago I felt deeply that it was time to move on and do something that I have a passion for. So in 2006 I enrolled into Massage Therapy School and in Birth Doula Training.
Quickly I realized my love for birth. I wanted to work with pregnant women more and more. So in 2007 I took a course that certified me in Pre –Perinatal Massage Therapy. Also during this time I was working towards my Birth Doula Certification requirements. I became DONA Certified in 2008.
I continue to have a desire to be more involved with the birthing community. My long-term goal is to attend Midwifery School. Right now I have contacted a Birth Loss and Grief Foundation called Addies Gift to get involved as much as I can in providing support for those in the community who have lost their babies. I also have been involved in the past and still periodically in a Birth Alternative Meetup group that provides an open forum for educating the public on birthing options. I will provide links and information for all of these things so that you can become involved too!
Coming up in August I am attending The Annual International DONA Conference in Atlanta, GA. I am VERY excited!!!!
